Projector Type Playlists

Each playlist will take you through the entire process-from fresh out of the box to actually using the projector. Testing, mounting, calibrating, all the steps will be covered in depth. While every set up will be just a little bit different, choosing the playlist that is the type of projector you own will give you the best guidance. The three types of set ups have some differences from each other, which I compare in this photo. Video coming soon!

“Amazon” Projector

These projectors, usually bought from Amazon, are also commonly called “mini projectors.” If you’ve chosen an Amazon projector, like an Apeman, Vivimage, Bomaker, etc., this playlist will be most helpful for you in set up and calibration. This focuses on the Turewell H3, but they all function very similarly.

Short Throw

This is where it all started for me! Short Throws are “regular” projectors in that they still need to be mounted but generally need only 2-4 feet of distance between lens and cutting surface. They are commonly mounted to the wall (mine is) but can also be mounted to the ceiling. This playlist shows the Epson 410W, as that’s what I own, but is applicable to most Short Throw projectors.

Ultra Short Throw

Whether you’ve chosen an interactive UST or not, a mount or a temporary set up, this playlist shows you all the options for setting up your UST. I had both an Epson 455WI and an Epson 595WI while recording these. Any Epson will be extremely similar and other types of USTs will also be able to follow along.
